Lufthansa Technik Turbine Shannon (LTTS) is a world class provider of aero engine component repair services to airlines and engine overhaul shops around the world. At LTTS, we specialize in the repair of aircraft engine components for both high pressure and low pressure turbine engines. LTTS is part of the EPAR (Engine Parts & Accessories Repair) network of Lufthansa Technik. The Company was founded in 1992 and we employ over 300 people in our state of the art facility in Shannon.

Position Summary

This is a 2 year Graduate Programme. The marketing & communications specialist at Lufthansa Technik Turbine Shannon will lead internal and external marketing & communications activities. The role is required to develop and implement strategic marketing and communication plans that support our business purpose and objectives. This will include conducting research, managing campaigns, overseeing digital initiatives to enhance brand visibility and engage our partners, customers, employees and community. The role will also coordinate industry event participation, collaborate internally while analyzing metrics to assess impact and refine strategies so that they positively support the business.

Responsibilities and Tasks including but not limited to the following:

  • Develop, implement & regularly update marketing & communication strategies to increase brand awareness and drive customer, employee, business partner and community engagement
  • Develop content that support these strategies for a range of channels including web, print, social and other digital channels to effectively reach audiences, in compliance with Lufthansa Technik corporate branding and guidelines
  • Conduct market research, identify target audiences and create tailored marketing campaigns to reach them effectively

  • Manage marketing & communication campaigns across various media channels to enhance online presence, engage with employees, industry professionals & local communities
  • Coordinate and lead the preparation of company’s participation in industry events and exhibitions to showcase the company’s products & services
  • Support the customer service organization in managing customer activities including promotional products, facility visits and event attendance
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure marketing & communication efforts are supporting the business purpose and strategic business goals
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing & communication efforts
  • Establish reporting metrics to assess the marketing & communications impact in terms of output and outcomes, provide regular reports including insights for continuous improvement
  • Manage the company website together with the central Lufthansa Technik communications team ensuring it remains up-do-date, informative, and engaging for visitors
  • Together with the central Lufthansa Technik communications team manage media relations and coordinate press coverage, facilitate communication between the management team and external parties such as media, government, clients and / or general public
  • Develop effective relationships and networks as appropriate within the aviation industry
  • Lead the organizations internal communications to support the business objectives
  • Coordinate & support employee activities, corporate events, meetings and recognition programs as required
  • Manage & co-ordinate social responsibility initiatives (Community , environment and employees) including the company’s post primary schools sponsorship initiative with Limerick and Clare GAA
  • Liaise with and coordinate marketing efforts with external sponsorship partners
  • Any other duties requested by your supervisor or their deputy

Education and requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Previous experience working in marketing or communications, ideally in the aviation or related industry, would be an advantage
  • Project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms
  • Competent with Adobe Acrobat, CANVA Pro and Microsoft 365 would be advantageous
  • Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative marketing ideas
  • Understanding of marketing principles and practices
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team
  • The ideal candidate should hold a full Irish or European driving license
