Role: Digital Marketing Officer
As the Digital Marketing & Events officer, you will be responsible for executing the marketing and communication strategy. This role blends digital marketing expertise with event planning and strategic communications. The ideal candidate will support the management of content creation, Google Ad campaigns, website maintenance and e-commerce, while also ensuring clear, consistent communication both internally and externally.
Location: The Guinness Enterprise Centre, Dublin 8 or Áras na Gael, Domnick St. Galway.
Contract: Part Time Contract (flexi 20 hours)
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications, you will work as part of a small function and support with driving key objectives:
Google Ads + Paid Media:
- Manage Google Ad Grant of $10,000 per month
- Create, manage, and optimise Google Ads campaigns (Search, Display, YouTube) to drive targeted traffic to support fundraising initiatives, awareness-building, and product/service promotion with a focus on ROI and impact-driven goals.
- Conduct keyword research and implement strategic bidding to maximise ROI.
- Regularly analyse and optimise campaigns for performance improvements.
Website Maintenance:
- Regularly update website content to reflect the organisation’s latest social initiatives, products, services, and news.
- Ensuring webpages are accurate, on-brand, and aligned with current campaigns.
- Ensuring the website is responsive, optimised for SEO, and provides seamless UX.
- Ensure the website serves as a clear communication tool for our social enterprise goals, making it easy for supporters to learn more, get involved, and take action.
- Using Google Analytics and other tools to monitor website traffic and optimise content to improve user engagement, and to provide actionable insights, better engagement and conversions.
E-commerce:
- Oversee product listings and promotions.
- Ensure the platform is fully functional, user-friendly, and visually appealing.
- Manage product catalog, ensuring accurate descriptions, images, and specs.
- Optimise product listings for SEO, so products appear in search results and drive organic traffic.
- Support with the planning and executing of digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, paid media, social media, and retargeting strategies.
- Optimise the user experience (UX) and customer journey on the website to improve engagement and conversion.
- Ensure that the website provides a responsive seamless shopping experience
- Monitor customer feedback and reviews to address issues and improve service.
Digital Content Creation:
- Create compelling content that promotes both our products/services and our social impact, encouraging community engagement and advocacy.
- Create high-quality, engaging content for digital platforms including impact stories, blog posts and website content.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all content aligns with brand voice and not for profit social enterprise marketing goals.
- Coordinate multimedia asset creation (images, videos, graphics) with designers or external agencies.
- Optimise content for SEO and ensure it’s aligned with marketing campaigns. Collaboration & Reporting:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing and event strategies are cohesive.
- Track and report on KPIs for digital marketing campaigns, events, and communications.
- Provide actionable insights based on performance data to adjust strategies and tactics.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in digital marketing, communications or event management, ideally in a social enterprise, non-profit, or impact-focused organisation.
- Proficiency in Google Ads, SEO, content creation
- Strong writing, storytelling, and creative skills with the ability to generate content that connects with an audience on a values-based level.
- Familiarity with website content management systems (WordPress, etc.) and understanding of basic SEO and UX principles.
- Experience in using Google Analytics to measure and optimise digital strategies.
- Experience in planning and executing both virtual and in-person events, with a focus on engagement and impact.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
