Join our Mission

brainbot, the core developer of Shutter, is looking for a Community & Social Media Manager for Shutter. As a Community Manager, you will play a key role in protecting crypto traders against malicious MEV attacks and censorship by engaging and mobilizing the crypto community. Your work is crucial in spreading awareness, building a vibrant community, and encouraging the use of Shutter’s protocol-level solutions. In the fast-changing crypto world, your active engagement and quick responses are vital to our mission. We need your help to rally the community so they can advocate for Shutter’s solutions across the crypto world.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and execute a community engagement strategy with the Shutter community on Discord and X to foster a strong and active community.
  • Proactively engage with the community on X, responding to news and ongoing conversations.
  • Respond to community queries and concerns promptly, ensuring positive engagement.
  • Organize and host community events, AMAs, and other interactive activities to keep the community engaged and informed.
  • Identify and onboard key influencers and ambassadors to amplify our reach.
  • Create and write engaging content to keep the community informed and excited about Shutter’s initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the communications, marketing and development teams to ensure consistent messaging and support community initiatives.
  • Monitor community sentiment and provide feedback to the internal teams to inform product, communications, and marketing strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the crypto space to ensure relevant and timely engagement.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in managing and growing online communities, particularly in the cryptocurrency space on Discord and X.
  • A strong grasp of Ethereum and DApps is highly advantageous for an easier transition into the role. While you can enhance your understanding on the job, having a fundamental knowledge is a major benefit.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are considered a plus.)
  • Graphic design experience (using Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva and AI design tools) to create visually appealing content. Capable of adapting content from existing brand materials and online templates.
  • Able to work during North American or European waking hours.
  • Being passionate about decentralization.
  • Proficient social skills are a must as this role primarily involves working with people, necessitating effective communication.
  • Written skills are essential for various purposes, such as interacting with people in a chat context, preparing publications and reports, and effectively communicating our or your message to the target audience.

Bonus points if you:

  • Interest and knowledge in blockchain technology and cryptoeconomics.
  • Experience contributing to or managing open-source projects.
